Visit to the Girl Doctor 1-21-08

Posted on Jan 21, 2008 15:28 by wlwaugh

I am not very fond of the Girl Doctor, mostly because I feel like a creep the whole time I am there, and because it seems to be especially full of halls and wandering passageways that could, at any moment, turn into full frontal view of some woman in a compromising position.  Also, I don't think the doctor likes me because he rarley looks at me, and he almost never addresses me, and the one time I asked a question he looked at Keeley when he answered.  That said, I am supremely thankful the whole time we are there that is NOT ME who is getting the "examination".  A re-enactment of Keeley getting the exam can be found here.

The good part was that we did get to see the little bean with the little heartbeat, which was quite fun.  They gave us a souvenir photograph which you can see to the left or click here for the larger view.  We don't have to go back for another month, so instead I will try to take pictures of Keeley at various points along the way and provide my comments on them here.

Also, after the doctor visit we had lunch at Milano's which was quite tasty.  Yummm.

Just keep trying to break the ice with the doctor.  You have just as much right to ask questions as Keeley. Just you being there with Keeley lets the doctor know you care about what is taking place.  I think it is terrific that you love Keeley enough to be there for her and show your support.  You both are in this together. What a beautiful picture. I couldn't be happier for the two of you.

    Bill,
The picture of the turkey was terrible.  Jenny thinks the baby is ready for KU - we know that won't happen!!!  I am trying to make this light as I am still somewhat overcome with emotion that my daughter is having a baby.  I am so excited for both of you.  This baby is going to have two wonderful parents!!!  It is a journey for both of you and I think it is wonderful you are doing it together. Grandma Claudia and Grandma Karen are so excited!!!
